Avast Boot -Time scan question

I've just run my usual Saturday morning Boot-time scan with Avast, and while it was running I noticed something that I've never seen before.

It was showing that alot of installer archives were corrupted.
They all started File C:\System volume information\_restore, then continued with SDHelper.dll, SDMain.exe, SDUpdate.exe, SDWinsec.exe and SDShred.exe, all had Error 42146 at the end.
Why have I never seen these before, and what do they mean?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Avast is scanning your System restore points {System Volume} Nothing to worry about,

If you want and if your computer is running OK,

You could turn off your system Restore to clear out the old Restore points,

DO NOT forget to turn it back on again and create a new restore point,

I did sort of realise that they were restore points, but if they are all corrupted, that would explain why a restoration has never really helped me with previous problems.

However, I will do as you suggest, thanks, and I'm pleased its nothing to worry about.

I've reduced the amount of restore points, and deleted all but the most recent.

All seems ok again, thanks.
