avast 4 onto a disk

  Desperate-Dan 08:47 28 Jul 2007

I have avast 4 anti-virus on my pc, I want to put the programme onto a CD, but when I go into search there is 15 items with avast, which one do I copy to burn onto disk?

If you have Avast installed, you will not be able to copy this to disc.
Reason being the registry entries will be all over the registry.

You can though download Avast again and SAVE (do not run or open) to your desktop and then burn/sendto your cd/dvd drive.

Do you want to save the installation files to a CD?
As per skidzy post?

or do you want to run Avast fom a CD?
if so you will need something like BartPE with the Avast plugin click here

Fruit Bat, what I'm trying to do is copy avast to a cd then install it onto my new pc and use it as my A-V on my new pc, so it looks like I need the Avast plugin is that right?

No, Just download it and save to disk. Install it on your new PC and then copy your registration key into the new installation. If you don`t have it to hand go to the registration page for Avast and click on the ink that says I am a registered user but lost my key.click here

No if its a stright install then do as sidzy says.

Goto the Avast site select the download select SAVE instead of run.
The saved download file is all you need to install it plus the registration number.

You could save direct to a Pen Drive or save to hard drive then burn to CD.
