AutoRun Not working

Hi,
I have a Packard Bell Iconnect running windows ME
for some reason Auto Run has stopped working can anyone help please, I would be very grateful

ps.the regedit works in xp as well as w2k and nt so may well also work in win me if auto insert does not.

is that "Auto Insert Notification" is enabled...

This is accessed via the folowing;

Start>Settings>Control Panel>System>Device Manager

Then click once tohighlight the CD/DVD drive in question. Click the "Properties" button and choose the "Settings" tab.

The setting in question is there.

Note that what I have pointed out is the route in Win98se. I'm fairly sure that it's the same with Me... apologies if it's not!

If it is already ticked, and it was previously working, then a "system restore" moght be the best route.

Thanks everyone for your quick replies the box for Auto Insert Notification was already ticked. your quite right simsey the setting for ME are he same as Win98se. I'll persivere with and as you say I will try a system restore.
