I'm trying to install Sims for the kids (no really) and I get a message saying 'Setup is having trouble shutting down the Autoplay program. Please restart your computer and try again'.I have started it again to no avail. Help! My life won't be worth living if I don't get this installed today.
Go to Start/My computer/right click on drive/properties/select Auto play/put dot on circle Select action/scroll down and select "take no action"I think this will stop auto play while you install Sims.
This did the trick and I will live another day. Next question is 'will I ever be able to get access to my PC ever again'. I'll have to enforce earlier bedtimes.
Had a quick look at Sims, I can see why you may not get back on your computer:-)
