Automatic updates Grrr.

I've got the usual yellow shield sitting in my Sys. Tray and annoyingly, I am not given the courtesy of being able to ask what they are before clicking "Install".

Such bad manners these damn Yanks!

Is there some way to find out what I'm about to install before commencing??

Click the Custom Install option.

I was a bit wary of trying that, excellent!

(comment about Yanks still stands though, seeing what they've done to my savings & imminent pension!)..:-((

Also make sure that when configuring WindowsUpdate, you select "Notify me about updates but don't install them", which will allow you to select Customise.

You should also ensure you tick the box from the Customise pop-up panel not to be advised again about downloads which you don't require.
