how do I get rid of unwanted words/phrases from the drop down boxes in IE 6. The boxes list all words etc previously entered and now contain far too many items?

Thanks for your help

In IE go to Tools/Internet Options/Content/Auto Complete/Clear Auto Complete History. Then select your preferences in same window.

Open IE and go to tools>internet options>content tab and click on auto complete and you will see a whole range of settings.

Control Panel, Internet Options.

General tab, click Clear History.

Content tab, click AutoComplete, then click Clear Forms or Clear Passwords. Make sure that's what you want to do.
