"Auto Run" File How to get onto CD

There was a question early today about Auto-run onto C/Ds I downloaded the file Auto-run as a Zip file How do I get this file to work as "auto-run" on a data c/d How do you get it onto the 'Nero' burner to "auto-run" Help I know I'm an idiot!!

They are difficult.

I have tried with Autoruns,

First you need to select a location for it to run, open it up in notepad...

This should let you edit it:


Or something like the above, I have forgot now, but someone here will know and guide you through.

Just read the thread you referred to. I mis-understood your post :(

Sorry. Thought you wanted to set your PC to auto-run data CDs as they were loaded.

I've just put my Family Tree on an autorun CD and it was quite a learning curve.
I finished up combining autorun and Shell.exe as it needed to open either an exe file or a PDF file.
I would also suggest that you keep doing trials on a CD/RW before committing it to CD/Rs.
Also, when you think you have finished, try it out on another computer as it is inclined to pick up data from the original files instead of from the data on the CD.
