Auto Reload On Selecting Tab In Firefox...

I often have multiple tabs open and on selecting a tab have to reload it to display the 'current' state of the page.

It occurred to me that it would be useful should a selected tab be forced to auto reload.

There doesn't seem to be an extension around which includes this feature but JohnM555 over at click here came up with the following:-

Get the userChrome.js extension and add the following to the userChrome.js file in the chrome directory of your profile folder:-

Code:

(function() {
var tabBox=getBrowser().mTabBox;
tabBox.addEventListener("select",function(){
var loc=window.content.location;
if (loc.protocol=="http:" || loc.protocol=="https:")
window.content.location.reload();
},false);
})();

For details on the userChrome.js extension click here

It works a treat.

Yes I know that it only saves one click on each occasion, but this is a major victory in combating RSI!! LOL
