audio drivers

hi there,

i have ran a scan and found i have audio drivers installed and they say they are working correctly but in the sound settings it still says no audio device installed - anybody got any ideas?

Have you got sound ?

If not check device manager for any yellow exclaimation marks and post back.

i have no sound at all

yeah there is a yellow question mark against multimedia audio controller

Ok,Right click and uninstall this and reboot.if onboard sound xp should install or point you to the correct driver.

If not run Belarc click here and post back the details under Multimedia.

If you go to Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information>Components>Sound Device, you should be able to discover your onboard sound or sound card's details.

By then visiting the manufacturer's website you should be able to download the latest drivers.

You may also have to check that onboard sound is Enabled in the Bios or, if you have a sound card, that onboard sound is Disabled in the Bios.
