I wanted to join together 2 sound files iv'e recorded and save them as one, and wondered if anyone new how to go about it ?

I haven't played with Audacity that much but I should think you can. You probably would have to save the files as a project file then cut and paste them together. I'll have a play later when I get time if no one else replies.

I found this but have not tried it yet
1. From the Windowsstart menu select run;
2Enter cmd in the open field of the run dialog, and click OK to open a DOS window
3 Inthe DOS window, use the cd command to access the folder that includes the music files;
4Use the copy command to make the new file;
copy /b file1.mp3+file2mp3 mergedfile.mp3
5Type exit and press enter to close the DOS window.
your file has been created and you can use as a single file

I will use this in photo album 2 for longer video cds cheers
