I have a ATI All in Wonder X800 AGP graphics card and have been unable to update the drivers past v6.10 (Oct 06). I get the error message "Setup did not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system. Setup will now exit."
This is followed by " Try to set up your display with a standard VGA driver before running setup" I uninstall old drivers reboot then install new driver , but none will work.
Catalyst 6.6 , 6.7 , 6.8, 6.9 & 6.10 all upgraded with no problems. Am unble to install 6.11, 6.12, 7.1, 7.2 or 7.3 . Can anyone advise what I am doing wrong as I have followed the install instructions on ATI's website. Thanks.

Recommend you use the tray tools option. It uses less system resources.

sorry, ashdav, that didn't help

Given the age of the card I think this is as far as you are going with updating drivers.
If it works OK then leave it alone.

ok ashdav . thanks. I formatted my HD and still would only let me instal up to 6.10 so maybe you're right. thanks again.
