ati tray tools what is this?

i have an ati graphics card and saw this on a thread. is this a replacement for the catalyst driver and are there any advantages or disadvantages.

I'm an Nvidia user, so I'm guessing but it's almost certainly a control panel for your graphics card where you can tweak its settings.

The tray tools are a slimmed down version of the ATI catalyst drivers.
Catalyst drivers have a graphical interface that is very cpu and memory intensive (ie bloatware).
The tray tools do the same thing but without the graphics and you don't need to install dotNet either to get them to work.
I use tray tools myself and it's perfectly ok.
