Have you not installed your monitor drivers.

Thanks andySD

Reinstall/update the graphics card AND motherboard chipset drivers.

Check that the fan on the graphics card is working and that it is not clogged with dust and fluff.

Check that the computer front/side vents are similarly clear of dust.

Check all other fans on the pc are working and clear.....ie cpu fan/heatsing,psu fan and any case fans.

It could be a failing card....but it could equally be overheating caused by a failed/failing fan or build up of crud.Driver issues are common too,so be sure to check everything before condemming the card.

Bear in mind that when you start a game the graphics card in particular has to work hard to render in 3D and so will show up any heat related problems.

I cleaned out the pc yesterday, just double checked the fan is working and it seems fine; the heatsink isn't at hot as i've seen before.

I re-installed catalyst and then omega drivers but no change. Updated mobo chipset drivers.

Still bad :|

Thanks for all the help so far :)
