It all depends on what you want to do with it, i personally switched from Intel to AMD and have never looked back and never will.

I am using the Pentium 4 3.4/800 1GB Geil Memory 9800Pro graphics. Applications run better on a Intel Gaming is better on the AMD64.....but for the frame difference which is not noticeable to the human eye nothing in it! I personally started with a P60Mhz yes P60Mhz and have never explored the AMD solution as its always been cheaper and I think it is a case of "you get what you pay for", but alls I can say is that "Intel" are better all round and will always be king of the hill roll on the 64Bit solution and Windows Longhorn 64Bit.

Sorry maybe completely biased here but what do most business machines globally use??? "Intel"

enough said!

many thanks.

I've noticed in looking around the a lot of computer shops prefer Pentium and others prefer athlon.

thanks for your opinions
