I have just built myself a new system using the Asus 3600 Vento case, P5AD2 E PREMIUM mobo, intel p4 3.60Ghz processor, two sony optical drives, one SATA 300 Gb drive and an Nvidia N6600GT Graphics card. The memory is 1Gb of Kingston DDR2 533 240pin. I am having some serious problems with getting my system to work properly. I have got to the stage where the system starts to load windows 2000 but then it just cuts out. There seems to be quite a few problems with this motherboard. The bios has recognised all of my drives but has configured the SATA drive as the Third Primary Master. Should this make any difference. I have the SATA connected to sata1 master and my optical drives are connected to the IDE connector using the HDD Cable supplied and not the CD-ROM cable as this does not work. The bios is configured for Standard IDE, Enhanced IDE and SATA. Can anyone shed any light on why my system is shutting down all the time????
