Asus A7V8X-MX SE & fitting a Duron 1.6GHz 266FSB

I need confirmation as I found I have to set some DSW Dip Switch things for this Motherboard and I carnt remember what the setting is suppose to be for this processor.

Ok, in the manual it shows the Picky for a DSW with 5 little swithes on it.
It says I need to set the DSW for the CPU.

Problem, my choice is CPU 100MHz, 166.67 MHz or 133.33 MHz

So with my Duron having a FSB of 266FSB I understand but UNSURE if I set the DSW to 133.33MHz as 133 = 266 ?

Can someone please help as I dont want to fry the new Duron.

The actual fsb setting should be 133MHz (around 133, it varies from board to board). Because the transfer of data is bi-directional at the same time, the theoretical 266MHz is given. But as far as motherboard and BIOS settings are concerned, the actual frequency should be 133MHz. If you need to set the multiplier as well, it should be 12.

looking at the dip switches, switches (with swith at top/right)as you look at the computer

1 down, 2 up, 3 down, 4 up, 5 down for 133mhz.

all down for 100 mhz

and i think, 1 up and 2,3,4&5 all down for 333mhz (cant remember this setting, was only doing this last night so it is still fresh, but didnt need 333mhz so didnt take much notice)

all these are in your motherbaord manual.

you explain it in a way I understand and have now got the M/b in just got to mount the Duron 1.6 266FSB and put some Arctic Silver on the core etc.
Just the diagrams are printed on poor Recycled paper and look a bit blotchy unless I was unlucky to recieve a bad printed manual.

Thanks again.
