Hi All, A bit of advice please from users of the mobo above.

I built the PC about 2.5 years ago and fitted in an old nvidea graphics card. My son uses the PC mostly for video editing and the existing card is woeful to say the least. Can anyone suggest a good card for about £100 - £150 which is known to fit & work ok on this mobo which i can get him for Xmas? The PC is on Athlon XP2800 with 1gb ram and XP home.

I think i remember on this board two years ago users were saying some cards might not fit in correctly on this mobo (touch some components)?

Thanks as ever for your time.

if motherboard has agp slot a 7600gs. I do not understand why it would touch other components as asus would surly not design a motherboard this way.

Citadel,

The mobo is an A7N8X deluxe with an AGP 8X slot.

With regard to the fitment, it was a while ago and perhaps it was unique to someones system. i.e. something in the case was in the way?

Thanks for your post - i will look up the 7600.

I'm not sure a 'better' mainstream graphics card will help you in video-editing as much as more memory or a faster CPU (but I my be wrong).

What's your present PC spec please? G
