Hi - does anyone know if it is possible at all to assign some text to a 'hot key'(?)...My email address is very long, and I wondered if I could press one or two buttons, and it would automatically type the name in for me.? I am using windows xp home. any ideas?

Google autofill will insert it on forms on webpages for you.

If you want to save typing the whole e-mail address in Word then try using the AutoText facilty which once you start your address will suggest the rest of it and then you can press enter to complete it.
To add it to AutoText in Word - type your e-mail address - highlight all of it - go to Insert - AutoText - New
