ASC11 code for £ & @

  wallbash 10:58 24 Feb 2006

I require the ascii codes for £ and the @ symbols

have googled and found various tables of info, suggesting 156 and @ but how to use ??

My problem is a friend ( of a friend) is abroad using foreign keyboards, needs to converse with mates but stumbles at first hurdle. Cant load email address without the @ symbol , as travelling around , all keyboards vary

make sure that the num;ock is on and press and hold the alt key and type in 064 for the @ and 0163 for the £

num;ock should read numlock :-)

You can use "Character map" need MS serif font in the box, then make your address in notepad or something, then cut and paste to your mail.

Another good idea , keeping the address on a pen drive would work, if you can use a usb port, which at some cyber cafes , not easy

again thanks
