Ive had most parts from AUDIs over the years Medion or Tevion badged they dont actually make them and I have never had a problem

With 3 years cover Helpline and a straight exchange if its not working when you get home.Just keep the receipt safe

The last two I brought when opened turned out to be a WD internal and a Seagate externam

Great prices @ ALDI if you get to the store at 8.30 for them to open @ 9.00

I got a 3.5 inch external hard drive from Aldi about 14 months ago and it is superb. I think I paid £45 for it and its 500GB in size. I can see through the mesh top on mine that the hard disk drive inside is a Seagate, which are a very good brand.

Also with the 3 year warranty you get with most Aldi products you really cannot go wrong. For them to offer a 3 year warranty, this should tell you that they are not going to be poor quality and unreliable : )
