"Application Hang"

Recently I have been getting problems with accessing Cyberlink.com (PowerDVD people) whenever I access their site I get "Not Responding" EVERY time.

I looked in the Event Viewer and sure enough there is an error with Event 1005 in every instance, and there are many, this is coupled with errors Event1001 and Event 1000.

Using MS Knowledge Base, Event 1005 is C:\documents\my name\userdata\index.dat The recommended fix is to use RUN cmd and then chkdsk /f which didn't help - the web page is still not responding.

The other suggestion was to delete the offending file, but how do you delete index,dat files?

Have tried removing Index.Dat files with Privacy Mantra and Tracks Eraser (don't think they actually do as they say, problem and file still there!)

Index.Dat files deleted, Cyberlink.com now works.
