AOL E-commerce Problem

I run a small business and have two e-commerce websites. I use a credit/debit card gateway company for secure transactions. My problem is that users of AOL browsers click "submit order" (at which time their details are stored on our system and they should simultaneously moved across to the card company) but AOL will not allow them to connect to the card company.

Clearly ther IS a solution to this without asking the customer to open up internet explorer or netscape (most AOL users don't know how to) because speaking to (lost) cutomers they have moved on and ordered elsewhere without problems. HELP!!!

The shopping cart designers are called Charon Cart. They claim no knowledge of the AOL problem. Protx and SECpay (the two card transaction companies I've tried) also deny knowledge of it.
