Have you checked your firewall, to see if its letting it through? Just after I moved back to S.Wales, and got everything connected again, ZA was not allowing access for some reason, that was my reason.
Just an update - I have been working on this all day!! Been though 4 Reps today latest one tonight who was very cocky to me the previous rep thought it might of been a Windows XP problem so I reinstalled XP in which I did at the time of finaly getting onto AOL Dialup I received an email to confirm that my line had been upgraded to Broadband this I tried and I still get the same error message
YOU ARE HAVING A CONFRONTATION WITH YOUR FIRWALL IS ONE THING DISABLE YOUR FIRWALL , AND THEN GO INTO START--SETTINGS--CONTROL PANEL--ADD REMOVE--CLICK ON AOL CONNECTIVITY SERVICES CLICK REMOVE WHEN OPEN CLICK THE BOX REPAIR, THEN CLOSE CONTROLE AND START AOL, GOOD LUCK , YAMA
