like me because although version 8.0.020 is out for some reason ZA does not offer it to me as an automatic or manual update?

I refrained from installing the new version when it first came out because there were some initial problems with it on Vista and it was withdrawn as an automatic update from Checkpoint.

I'm still using that version. I think they must have pulled version 8.0 because I just checked the version history and it says 7.0 is the latest version click here

Known bugs in 8.0.020.000

System takes many minutes to shutdown.

Opening applications or use of applications is very slow compared to previous version of ZoneAlarm.

Logging off user and logging in a new user takes many minutes

System is very slow coming out of Standby Mode

ZoneAlarm is aware of these performance issues and may not be limited to just theses specific performance issues. We are working on a fix to these issues.

I've been using version 8.0.020.000 for some while now without any apparent problems - certainly none of those listed by ste76.

not my XP PC but I reinstalled the older version on both pending a more stable release. This doesn't seem to have happened yet.
