Anybody having probs with talktalk mail?

I'm in the middle of trying to clean my PC with the Malware forum, who won't accept g-mail, and I cannot connect to my pop3 account, I keep getting: -
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.talktalk.net', Server: 'mail.talktalk.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E>>
though no outages seem to be reported for my area.
Anyone know what this message means?

Post the question, and God leans out of heaven and plugs me in again!!
Never realized how well connected this forum is!!

I'd still like to know what that message means though!
I never know what to do when TalkTalk sees fit not to communicate.

Tiscali's site has a useful list of the OE 0x800 error messages; click here

hey! thanks for that, really usefull information.
It's nice to know what is going on, even if you can't influence it!
I suppose TalkTalk might have a similar page...somewhere...if I can ever stumble across it!

Searching for "OE Errors" from my TalkTalk account page eventually leads me to your Tiscali page Brundle!
Ah well, a good source of information is just that, even if you are referred to the competition!
