Any firewall recommendations for Vista?

  rodriguez 11:23 09 Apr 2007

I've not long installed Windows Vista Ultimate and found that ZoneAlarm isn't compatible. Is there any other firewall software out there that's just as good and can be run on Vista? Or does anyone know if there is a version of ZoneAlarm for Vista?

None to recommend yet. ZA are working on a Vista compliant version.

OK, I've done a firewall test with just the hardware firewall enabled in my Netgear and all the ports came back as stealthed (invisible) so I might try the Windows firewall for now and see how it goes. Then when the Vista version of ZoneAlarm comes out I can always get that and switch the Windows one off.

ever since I installed the software, and there have been no problems at all so far. I'm not planning to install a third-party firewall.

This one works with Vista but only the 32bit one.

I found the Vistas own firewall first class, as it now works in & outwards.

I agree with the Forum Editor. I have had no problms and do not intend to install any other firewall

Another vote for the Vista firewall. That plus my router seems to be fine.
