hello everyone,

I think i may have a virus as my computer has slowed down and it takes ages for web pages to load up.
I had avg 7.5 but it wouldnt update so uninstalled it and tried to put 8.5 on. That wouldnt update either so i uninstalled it and tried an online scanner called kaspersky. that tells me i have an antivirus installed and to turn it off.
I dont have one installed so i got an avg registry unistaller tool and ran that. Kaspersky still says i have an anti virus program installed.
I dont know where to look for it.

Please help.

Eddie

I thought there could be a download to remove avg from the pc, but i could be wrong. Also after removing something like avg, prolly a good idea to run ccleanerclick here
I am sometimes very cautious of those online scans, making you think you need to buy something that they could have put there or make a false positive, i would reccommend avast av click here
I have used Avast for quite sometime and i have been extremly happy.
To double check, you might want to download malwarebytes, an excellent scan click here
Be sure to do a full scan, and if possible, always scan when pc is not connected to the internet!

Best of luck
