I ude Kispersky internet security 2009 build 8.0.0506

After reading thoughts / reviews in the lastest edition of PC advisor ( the one with Win 7 on front)

Am now worried if am getting 100% safe protection from KIS 2009...

Has in the magazine it was not 100% rated. Noton was. one I never heard of. Avira .. which was alao rated.

I have used Kispersky since version 5...

So am looking for a program which gives me 100% saftey from spyware/virus and other rubbish rootkits mailware etc..

Or am ok to stay with KIS 09 and KIS 2010 is out soon...

I tried a 30 day thing with Avira did not like it... I never liked Norton the way it hogs the pc...

I like the preview thing you get of your mail inbox...

with KIS 2009

There is no 100% Antivirus program its best to use multiple programs

Here are two of the best {download the free versions}

SAS/ Superantispyware click here

MBAM/ Malwarebytes/ Antimalware click here

They do not provide real time protection but what I do is update one then run a quick scan then do the same with the other on another day

Should point out that SAS and MBAM are not Anti-Virus programs but AntiSpyware.

But you should only ever use one AntiVirus - try Avast (Free version) from here

That was a big surprise to see Norton top of the list.To me it should be down near the bottom. But goes to show what I know.
A lot of happy folk out there using Kaspersky.
Maybe because you get it free if you are with one of the leading banks.

You will not get 100% from any Security Suite you will need more Anti-Spyware programs Like Spywareblaster.Malwarebytes.A squared or Superantispyware downloaded as well any 3 of those 4 mentioned should give you that extra cover.

Nod 32[eset] is supposed to be the best.

Freebies.AVG.Avast.Avira.are 3 of the best.

Although SAS and MBAM are called Anti-spy and Antimalware they will also detect Viruses

Definition of malware

Malware is a general term for software programs that have been designed with or can be used for malicious intent. These include viruses, worms and Trojans.

There not going to call there software Antivirus-malware-spyware-worm-Trojan etc

I agree - they call it AntiMalware
