my laptop is running mc afee anti virus software, this afternoon it highlighted to me that i had the Exploit-ByteVerify trojan. It is located in the sun/java/.....directory. Mc Afee cannot clean, quaranteen, or delete this file. Is this a real trojan that i need to get rid of? or is it just a piece of a program that i shouldn't worry about?
I found this in Google by typing remove Exploit-ByteVerify trojan
'but what I can offer for sure is that if what you have is the java.byte.verify trojan, you should go into your control panel and see what version of java you have. Usually by having the old version you're vulnerable to infection. You should uninstall the old java version through add/remove programs and go to click here and download the new version. After that, run a new virus scan. Make sure you uncheck system restore before scanning. That should fix it'
