I`ve got AVG 7, Avast 4 and A squared.
My silly question is , did I read quite recently on this website that you shouldn`t have more than one antivirus programme?....Why not.

Hi Buchan 35

Your right in thinking not more than one AV program, but you can have as many Anti-spy-ware programs as you like!

AV programs conflict, but Spy-ware programs run independently

The danger with having more than one anti virus program on a computer is that they can conflict, this can mean the PC will crash, lock up or do all sorts of weird things, there is also the possibility that because they are clashing that they are working as they are meant and a virus may get in.

More than one anti-virus, usually causes confliction problems as they are trying to find virus's. Spywares work in a different way, and mixing of recommended spyware products usually have no confliction problems. Possibly worth a browse click here

Meant to say that "because they are clashing they may not do what they are meant and may allow a virus in".
