Anti virus and firewall software for broadband?

  DIYgirl 10:17 03 Dec 2006

Can anybody advise me if free Anti-virus and Firewall programs are suitable to use with broadband? My friend is not sure whether or not she ought to pay for something better once she moves from dial-up to broadband. She uses Avast and Outpost right now and has no problems with them on dial-up.

Thanks for that. I use Avast and Zonealarm, both of which do well for me, but I'm on dial-up too so wasn't sure how well they'd do for her on broadband.

If you only use windows firewall,I would download and use here Full version free for the first month, Then it reverts to the free edition if you dont want to pay,If you decide to try it When you get to the advanced button,Change it to the easy version, Then sit back and let it do its work,So easy to use.
