Annoying driver reminder on startup

I had a 98SE P.C. and an XP machine networking together until a glitch occured. This was resolved by changing an SiS lan card in the 98SE for a Realtek ethernet card. I removed the SiS 1o/1oo program with the 'add/remove' in the Control Panel.
I now get a warning when I start up that the SiS 10/100 ethernet driver is not properly installed. I have searched everwhere for any traces of the SiS hardware installation program or drivers to no avail. Has anyone any ideas ?

You could try something like ccleaner click here one of the things you can choose to do with it is clean up the registry. I would suspect that when you removed the program using add/remove programs it left behind a bit of itself in the registry. ccleaner may clear this up.

Thanks Totally Braindead, ccleaner didn't work but it pulled out a few more things than Registry Mechanic had done earlier.
