Analogue audio recording

All i want to do is record analogue music (from cassette) and convert it to CD. I have a copy of Nero CD Burning ROM, but what software (if any) do I need to capture audio? The sound recorder in Windows XP will only record 60 seconds at a time.

Try using Nero Wave Editor, which should be included with your copy of Nero.

Alternatively download this free utility

Feed you tape output into the imput of your sound card, and then using the above wave repair, record your sounds, finally using Nero to produce an audio CD.

I use LP Recorder and LP Ripper both from click here LP Recorder will record the whole cassette as 1 .wav file and LP Ripper will split it back into separate tracks again.

If you want a free recorder download JetAudio from click here but it will only record a cassette or vinyl record as one long track. You would still need something like LP Ripper to split it back to separate tracks.

Thanks all, I've got the problem nailed now.
