I've a blank screen.

I've tried Fn + F4 and connecting it to another monitor which was also blank.

Does this suggest it's not the screen (please ! !) and maybe the graphics card?

Try the following:

Remove the battery from the laptop.

With the mains lead disconnected, Hold down the power button for 30 seconds.

Replace the battery

Replace the mains lead

Try booting again.

Yes, all the indicators are lit and the hard disc light is flickering away .

If you get now output to monitor, it seems likely to be a graphics chip issue.

Unlike Desktop PC's, the graphics chip is soldered on to the mainboard of the machine, so a repair could prove expensive or even uneconomic.

Have you tried it with a tv?

Tried the battery out suggestion crosstrainer but still nothing.

Every sign that things are working except no picture.

I'm afraid it does sound like a graphics failure. This is not a user repairable fault. How old is the machine?

If under warranty, you can return for repair, if not, then your best option would be to get a quote for the repair from a local fujitsu dealer.

Less that three years old. I bought through that tax avoidance scheme through my employer 'Computers for everyone' or something.

I'll check the warranty but I don't think it was 3 years. I'm still paying for the thing!

Thanks for the advice.
