I have just done a test on pcpitstop and it says my CPU is runing at 1000mhz instead of 2ooo, the only thing I can find to alter in the BIOS is the front side bus frequency. Can anyone tell me what the frequency should be please

I would suggest that it's the CPU multiplyer or speed that you are looking for, not the FSB. My AMD 64 3400+ has a cpu speed of 200 and a multiplyer of 12 = 2400

Yes it looks as if your fsb wants altering to 200Mhz. This would give 200Mhz X 10 multiplier = 2.0 gig.

Do you know the make and model of your motherboard? Or do you know how to change the frequency.

Serted, I had cool and quiet switched on, turned it off in the bios, it now flies. Thanx for the help
