Hallo. I want to buy a new gaming desktop for about 1000pounds...i was thinking for Arbico or Chillblast but they
ussually offer a 8800GTS or 2x8800GT,which are raising the price of the pc up, so i decided to order my 2th pc from PCSPECIALIST...
...for now i want to use only one 8800GT and later when the prices gonna drop down to buy another 8800GT...
i am prety sure what hardware i want, which is:
RAM: 4GB Corsair XMS2 800MHz (2x2GB)
HD: 500GB SATA II 16MB Cache
Graphics: 512MB GeForce 8800GT (later another 8800GT)
Sound Card: Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1
Wirelles 54MB Network Card
Power Supply: 500w Quiet Dual Rail PSU Case 120mm Fan with a Super Quiet 22dBA CPU Cooler

...but i am not sure what processor and Motherboard shut i choose, the
1st option is: AMD Athlon 6400 and Asus M2N SLI Dual DDR2, SATA 2, 2xPCI-ex, 2xPCI
2th option is: Intel Core E8400 (maybe the E8500) and Asus P5N-E SLI,NVIDIA Dual 8x SLI
or Asus P5N-E SLI + NVIDIA Dual 16x SLI

... i am looking for a processor which has better performance for gaming...i ve read on the internet that the AMD are better for
games and the Intels for everything else...but when i ve been looking at the benchmark test so the AMD 6400 was a far bit behind
the Intels E8200, E8400 and i am not even talking about the what processor would you advice and if Intel so Which motheboard?
...thak you for help

you must have been reading some old reviews as the core 2 duo and quad have been the best since they came out. the new ones are better still and they all overclock to 3g or above, the e8500 can go to 4g.
if you want to add another 8800gt later you need a sli enabled motherboard.
