Out of interest my Spy blocker blocked the link.
But I got in then switched back on again.

Hmm, maybe your Spy blocker being a bit over-zealous :-)

A useful link, but too late for me :), I will have to re-format and start again. At least no critical data on that machine, and all music, photos etc. all backed up!

Hi, don't worry, absolutely no way I would post anything on here that was in the slightest bit dodgy.

no i know you wouldn't 100% faith in your judgement.ive read many of your posts and a lot that have been helpfull to myself :-)

It does point out the way SP3 is messing up AMD PC's....We have test rigs in the workshop (AMD and Inte) running all the operating systems we support. Have asked staff to try SP3 on them all (when they have time, as I'm not able to work at the mo) It will be interesting to see what the outcome is.....In the meantime, we will NOT be installing SP3 on any Clients' machine!

Yes, with so many having issues with SP3, I guessed a few would be interested in my post.

smackheadz - many thanks for your comment.

I have a Evesham computer about 3 years old,it has a AMD processor and Windows XP MCE.

If I had read this link I would not have tried SP3.
However,I have installed it and the computer is working normally.
