AMD 3500+ skt 939 to 4000+ upgrade. Worth it?

I have a MSI K8N Neo2 with AMD 64 3500+ skt 939. GEFORCE 6600GT graphics card & 1GB RAM.
Skt 939 has been superceded by skt AM2, so soon a processor upgrade will mean a new motherboard.
I have seen a skt939 4000+ for sale.
Will I see any worthwhile improvement with this upgrade??

You will see very little difference in almost anything you do - a better graphics card (if necessary for gaming) or more RAM may make some difference.

That's my view anyway...

No

No. You will notice no difference between a 3500 and a 4000. It will be faster but you won't see it as it'll just be fractions of a second.

Agree with all the above. Received wisedom would suggest that the best and most cost effective upgrade for a computer system is to increase the size of your RAM memory
