alphabetical items in word

Hi,my wife has typed out a shopping list but its all to pot,I would like to get it into alphabetical order a b and so on.Is there a way that i can do that task.thanx in advance.

You should be able to do it using M/s Office 'Access'. Items can be inserted in any order and it will sort them into alpha order automatically.

Select the list of items, Table > Sort.

This will work whether the list is in a table or not.

Assuming it is a list (i.e item 1 on line 1, item 2 on line 2 etc) try this:-

Highlight the list> then go table>sort and select "field 1" to sort by and ascending (or descending if you want it in reverse order!), and Robert should be your mother's brother!
