All Shortcuts disabled

  wee eddie 11:06 28 Nov 2006

I tried anskyber's solution to solve a loading problem with IE7 click here. Now all shortcuts have been disabled.

When I try a Shortcut, even in the Control Panel, I get this box.

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folders Options control panel."

Having visited the afore said part of the Control Panel. I can find no way of doing this.

Is there a simple solution to this problem?

OK, I'm sorry this has happened to you. I have just re read the detail of this function from MS and your problem is not noted as an outcome.

The reset does disable any previous add ons like tool bars and any individual settings which have been added.
It should not have disabled your control panel functions. I'll see if if I can find a solution for you but this facility has been used by others to successfully overcome problems and is a MS approved fix otherwise I would not have suggested using it.
