I've been thinking of starting up by own web site and have been looking at hosting packages. Some of them offer aliases but I have been unable to find out what an aliases on a web site is. Any ideas,

enable you to point multiple email addresses to a single POP3 mailbox.

So if you had a domain name of say, with a single POP3 mailbox on the domain, and your email address was [email protected] you could have several aliases and point them all to that particular box. You might have [email protected] or [email protected], and so on and so on. All the different addresses are called aliases.
