Alcatel SpeedTouch 330 ADSL modem

I have just installed the above which was a doddle and now have Broadband. Everything is great.
However on clicking on the dianostics icon in the sys tray I click on the ADSL tab and notice the Modem is checked against POTS and the ISDN unchecked. The Mode has three options ANSI, Gdmt.A (Checked) and G.Lite

Can I alter any of these settings and what will they do?

the setting. GDMT is a ratified standard for ADSL modems. It allows users of the BT ADSL service to buy and install their own modems, as opposed to using the modem that is normally supplied by BT wholesale.

Unless a broadband modem is GDMT enabled it will not work on any UK broadband service.

Just relax and enjoy the Alcatel 330 - it's a great modem, and I use one myself.

It is working just fine, just curious about the options, will leave well alone, as they say If it ain't' broke don't fix it. M
