Has anyone ever encountered an "alarm" like sound when turing on their PC?

It was not a set of beeps... but sounded like an alarm... it was from the speaker in the PC since my main ones where off...

What does it meen? I have never heard this befor, I assumed all you got where beeps...

its a leadtek nforce 1 Mobo, Athlon 2200, 512 Ram...

I had this when my processor clock/multiplier was incorrect (it was an old PC and I was bored). There was an option to press one of the keys to force it to it's default value.

Well it only happened the once and I turned it off and restarted it... it started OK...

I then shut down and restared again and it started just fine...

If it is that i may have been due to my mem that somtimes changes itself from 333 the 266 for some odd reason, but a simple restart does the trick and its back to 333... a strange thing, as it is DDR 333, and the MOBO supports it!
