I have an Advent 800 Mhz with all the usual bits, after its been on about 20 mins. it makes a two tone alarm sound from inside the tower case. This does not seem to affect the pc,s working in any way. If I reboot and let it cool down, it goes away after about 20 mins it comes back again. If I shut down and reboot straight away, once Windows 98 has fully loaded it comes back again. Any answers? Algy Brew

in the bios is there an option to sound a warning when it gets too hot?

Sounds like you are overheating! hav a look at the fan in the PSU and on your heatsink. Sirens normally come on to warn you you are overheating. You should also have a look in the Bios and see what temp it set to for the siren to start.
