aida32 says SSE not supported?

Fiddling with aida32 to see what it told me about my computer I can’t understand the “suggestion” in the Motherboard > CPUID section.

“SSE is not supported. Upgrade your CPU to speed up …..”

The message is obviously not critical, but I am curious. Is this a jargon way of saying I could use a quicker (Athlon) CPU? ...... (I am using an Abit KT7 Duron 800 and 500Mb SDRAM with good old Win98SE)

SSE is Streaming SIMD Extensions and this is not supported by Duron processors. The message is saying if you upgrade to an Athlon which does support SSE your system will be faster.

Thanks bremner, I have ceased to worry about saving nanoseconds
