An AGP slot is an AGP slot so it should fit.

yes it will

An AGP slot is not an AGP slot. Newer AGP cards will not fit into first generation AGP slots - the cutouts on the cards are different.

Be aware that AGP 8x uses a different voltage to AGP 4x or earlier. So chances are your MOBO will not support it.

think youll be ok it will just run at x4 speed in your board.

  Dr Lecter 00:37 06 May 2003

To Asus and a couple of MOBO sites in general and found your MOBO is AGP 4x.

better check what voltage the 8x card you are thinking of can run at, then check what voltage the agp slot can handle and see if they match...

sorry cant be of more help. But I know my intel 845 can only handle certain voltages (I forget which) and was warned plugging the wrong card in would damage both card and board - so check first

AGP 8X graphics cards can run at other voltages according to the speed of the AGP slot, the Radeon 9700 will run at 3.3v, 1.5v, 0.8v click here

Most 8x cards are compatible with 4x. If your board only supports 4x then the card should run at 4x until you put it in a board which supports 8x. Check the voltages anyway just to be sure.
