If you have not built one before, I would suggest you purchase a motherboard bundle to start.

This is because fitting CPU etc.can be tricky, and very expensive if it goes wrong.

I now buy all my products from Novatech, they are extremely helpful If you get a problem.

All the best.

The 9600GT Graphics Card is a bit underpowered.
The 8800GT out-performs it.

But it depends what you intend to do with your sys of course. !

If its for gaming i'd change it for a 8800GTX or the 9800GTX

Thanks, I'll consider getting the 8800GTX or 9800GTX, I sincerely had no idea, I'm an illustrator. :P

It looks like you're a gamer, I'd suggest you get a bigger PSU, 850W minimum with 8 pin cpu input since the mobo is very power hungry and also if you're planning to get the 8800 or 9800 gtx. I'll also suggest you get a 24" monitor with 1900x1200 resolution.

I have the same mobo paired with Q9450 with 2x1gb of OCZ 14400 ddr3 ram since I only use 32bit OS.

2x 74gb Wd raptor in raid 0 to run XP pro and another 2x 74gb WD raptor in Raid 0 to run Vista and finally a 500gb WD for backup, since I still got some good old games that best run in XP.
The PSU is a 1000w from cooler master.

At the moment I'm running 2 x 7800gtx in sli with a 24" monitor which is good enough but I'm planning to get a 9800gx2 or 9900gx2 with a 30" monitor in the near future.

The mobo is quite easy to set up but I'd advise you to update to the latest bios version which is 0704 on the Asus official site (ignore this if you're not an overclocker and your system is running stable) but I've already updated to the beta 0801 version.

Hope this helps.
