Advice on Easy-to-use Animation Software Please

  Whaty 16:28 13 Sep 2004

My eleven year old son has been drawing 'Sprites' based on cartoon and games characters in MS Paint, he would now like to take this a step further and animate his characters (I'm quite interested in this too) but I guess you need to buy specialist software.?

Can anyone recommend any easy-to-use (and not too expensive) software that will do this.

You cannot find any cheaper click here not to sophisticated either, which is probably good for a youngster.

Just select create new animation and paste frames accurately on each page. Export as animated GIF.

There is a program called Art Attack (same as the kids TV programme) that is cheap and uncomplicated and this allows you to make animated sequences, the program provides the characters though and I don't know of any other animation programs. Have you tried a google search?
See click here for Art attack
