Ok on the box this says it's compatible with 95 through XP (does not include Win 2K) I had this on Win 98 before I upgraded, had some issues reload everything, you know how it goes, tried to load this programe and I get when trying to install from the CD the following error

Adventures in Typing requires the windows 95 operating system

My kids keep asking to use it!
Anyone got any idea's as to how to load have done some searching but struggled.

Found in one review at

"If you go to the Disney Interactive website you can download a patch for free which will resolve any issues the program may have with windows XP."

I've tried to find the patch at:

but with no luck..:-(

Good try but I wish I could get that far.
I cannot install the program, and that works once the program has been installed.
I have even copied the files to the HDD and creating a shortcut to the setup program and changing it's compatibility status and no good, any other idea's?

Try installing the patch first and then have another go at Adventure in Typing.

I have just replaced my old cdwriter with an LG GSAH 10ABA16x DVD-+R/RW/RAM Writer 6x+R.was surprised at the ease of it all, there was no software and I was thinking of either d/loading deep burner or there's a Roxio programme on thes months PCA mag.Anyone any thoughts on this.

This has absolutely nothing to do with this thread; what's more it is very unlikely to be seen by those who could help you..

You should start a new thread with an appropriate title in the HelpRoom.

Looks like I'm going to struggle, shame it was a great little program.
The patch looks for software already on your system if it cannot find any it cannot update anything and exists.
I tried running the program while trying to install the program but no good.
Thanks guys looks like more software that cannot be used. Yet another disc for the landfill thanks MS

It's not MS's fault - we don't want to remain in the 20th century...:-)
