AdSubtract - explanation of actions pls

  daba 11:07 20 Jul 2003

Just got on B/B.

At 04:30 this morning, AdSubtract autoconnected to the internet and the following occurred :

4623 Allowed TCP Outgoing 80 4047 D:\PROGRAM FILES\AdSubtract\adsub.exe 1 GUI%GUICONFIG#[email protected]#D:\PROGRAM FILES\AdSubtract\adsub.exe

4624 Blocked ICMP Outgoing 3 3 Block_all

4625 Allowed UDP Outgoing 137 137 GUI%GUICONFIG#[email protected]#ALLOW-UDP

4626 Allowed UDP Incoming 137 137 GUI%GUICONFIG#[email protected]#ALLOW-UDP

4627 Blocked ICMP Outgoing 0 10 Block_all

4628 Allowed ICMP Outgoing 0 10 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KERNEL32.DLL 2 Ask all running apps

Anyone care to explain, is there something there to be concerned about ?

Also AdSub left the connection open, can I make PC auto-disconnect after a time delay of no activity, like dial-up used to do ?

Windows 98SE, IE6

Have you got AdSubtract set to auto-update?

Using AdSubtract SE Version 2.42.

Can't see a setting anywhere for 'Auto-Update' just a manual button.

and when i click that i can't update the database without paying - oh hum, must buy it i suppose.....
